Judy is a Founder of The Full Life Ahead Foundation, a renowned national trainer on disAbility transition, and co-author of a Full Life Ahead: A Workbook and Guide to Adult Life for Students and Families of Students with disAbilities.
Barclay currently serves as a board member of the Alabama Association for Persons in Supported Employment (APSE) and has served on the Board of the Jefferson, Blount, St. Clair Mental Health Authority, is Co- Vice Chair of the Human Rights Committee, the Civitan Consumer Advisory Committee, Partners in Policymaking in Alabama (PIPA) Advisory Board, and the Birmingham Area Governor’s Committee on Employment of People with disabilities.
Previously she worked as a council member on the Alabama Developmental Disabilities Council, the Family Support Specialist for the Alabama Transition Initiative of the Alabama Department of Education, a family liaison and transition specialist with the Southeast Regional Resource Center (SERRC) and a school teacher. She is a true advocate for all individuals with disAbilities and their families helping them live a FULL LIFE!
Barclay graduated from The University of Alabama. She is married to Henry Barclay, III and they have three children and two grandchildren.
