Attending the AL-APSE Conference in Mobile next month could be a LIFE CHANGER for YOU! If you are an individual with a disAbility and want to learn about the “Super Powers of Employment” (this year’s conference theme) you REALLY SHOULD attend! Parents and guardians are also encouraged to attend. The conference is scheduled for July 20-22 and will be held at the beautiful Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel.
YOU CAN AFFORD TO GO! Individuals with a developmental disAbility and/or their family member/parent/guardian may apply for the Alabama Council on Developmental Disabilities Consumer Involvement fund to attend this conference. This fund could pay for costs associated with attending the conference such as registration, hotel, mileage and more. Please see the attached registration form and CIF Individual Application for details. If you want to attend and apply for CIF funds, send your application and registration in as soon as possible. Early registration ends June 30.
Oh… let’s not forget! Of course the APSE Conference is for providers as well! Continuing Education and CRC Credit will be available and approval is pending for CE’s in Social Work, Counseling and Nursing.
