(Alabama Persons in Supported Employment) Conference

APSE, The Network on Employment was formed to improve and expand integrated employment opportunities, services, and outcomes for persons experiencing disabilities. Supported employment focuses on a person’s abilities and provides the support the individual needs to be successful on a long-term basis. This conference occurs once a year and is a great opportunity to understand more about what employment looks like for individuals with disAbilities.

Raising the Standards Conference through the Alabama Parent Education CenterIs a 501 c3 organization that was created by parents, caregivers, educators, and professionals to serve families in low-income areas that have children with disAbilities. Each year they have the Raising the Standards Conference which is a virtual conference that anyone can attend that has been affected by special needs including families, educators, and professionals. The goal of this conference is to bring early intervention to children that have been diagnosed with a disability and equip their support system with the right resources to lead them on a journey of being able to thrive with a learning or physical disAbility. The sessions from previous conferences can be found on their website and they also have Facebook groups available to answer any questions.

Early Intervention and Preschool ConferenceServing individuals, age birth to adulthood, with developmental and physical disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, spina bifida, or any other identified delay of 25% or more.
